After partnering up with the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality, ELA is happy to offer the globally recognised professional qualifications for Tourism and Hospitality Industry.
ELA is the only CTH approved teaching centre in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.
Over the last three decades, CTH has developed programmes aimed at globally enhancing careers in the hospitality, travel and tourism fields. Through CTH programmes, with this globally recognised certification, thousands of employees in the sector will be able to make their way towards the higher ranks of their profession. The Hospitality and Tourism industry incorporates a wide range of catering, entertainment and accommodation services, such as holiday resorts, inns, and hotels, so these programmes are relevant to many people employed in the sector.
The programmes have been endorsed by many industry leading businesses and corporations such as The Institute of Hospitality, The Guild of Travel Management Companies, Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome, Le Meridian Hotels, Hilton Hotel Singapore, Dhaka Sheraton Towers, InterContinental Hotel Group, InterContinental London Park Lane, Premier Inn, Radisson Edwardian Hotel, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Star Alliance, Gordon Ramsay Holdings & Tante Marie, Hotel Solutions Partnership Switzerland and many more.
ELA is pleased to offer Home and International students a range of courses relevant to their profession and career stage and various study options: intensive, full-time and part-time. Every Certificate Programme is divided into Units. For example, on short career skills courses students can choose to enrol for the entire qualification or undertake individual unit(s). The former will grant them an overarching certificate, the latter will result in a unit award. Despite the substantial difference in the duration of these options, they are both globally recognised qualifications.
Classes will be available on a part-time or full-time basis, with a minimum of 5 students per group. According to their goals and current position, students can choose the most suitable course, or courses, from the following: Career Skills, Foundation Programmes and Management Qualifications.
Students who successfully finish their CTH Foundation course at ELA, will have an opportunity to study a Tourism & Hospitality Undergraduate Degree at one of the universities accepting the CTH Foundation programmes in the UK or worldwide such as Bournemouth University, BPP University, Buckinghamshire New University, Coventry University College, Glasgow Caledonian University, St Mary’s University and many more, please check the full list of universities here.
Career Skills Courses are designed to develop the student’s hands-on, practical job skills, typically by way of shorter highly-focused skills training.
Providing native speakers and international undergraduates with a course of studies leading towards university careers or the professional world.
Developing future management talent through an excellent alternative, or complement to, university study in hospitality and tourism.
